It turns out that they say ‘local conservative associations’ have been ‘hijacked by the far right’ ERG/UKIP wing – something that Anna Soubry is naming ‘Purple Momentum’ and is giving ‘liberal’ Tories the boot.  It has not gone un-noticed that local Tories like Lisa Parker and Peter Butlin have been very far right leaning, pro-Trump and anti-climate change and are proud of their far right perspectives, so it would seem that this point of view is pretty endemic, leading to possible expulsion for Pawsey.  Since the members of the Rugby Conservative Association are mostly sitting Borough and County councillors, are they ‘ERG/UKIP/Purps’ too?

I don’t know about you, but I’d not consider Rugby’s MP particularly liberal.

It’s not often that we post a Daily Mail article – but it would suggest that this is very true.  The rise of the  ERG is happening and it is terrifying for the future of this nation.
