Jim Ellis is standing for Brownsover and Coton Park Division in May 2021. Cllr Ellis is currently training to be an Operating Department Practitioner and is a Unison member.

Jim Ellis will be standing for Brownsover and Coton Park Division on 6th May 2021.

He has represented Newbold and Brownsover ward since 2019 and has been a real community champion for the people who live in the ward and has focused on Public Health and Housing conditions. Now, he would like to offer his support to Brownsover and Coton, Eden Park and Strawberry Fields and to try to take on larger issues affecting the community. His tireless community and charity work shows he is not only someone who cares, but who can get things done.

Hi – I’m Jim Ellis,

I’m standing in the County Election 6th May for Coton & Brownsover Division at Warwickshire County Council.

My priorities for Coton & Brownsover include:

🌹Continue to work with the wider community to tackle anti-social behaviour.
🌹Deal with the speeding issues and also the state of roads and pavements in the area.
🌹Promote real accessibility for Disability around Coton and Brownsover.
🌹Request community investment and ask why the Coton community centre has not been built and many of the Neighbourhood plan pledges are not tackled.
🌹Environmental Investment in parks and shared green spaces.
🌹Work with police to tackle Anti-social Behaviour.

Jim is a Borough Councillor but is also currently studying Full-time: Operation Department Practice as a Perioperative practitioner and qualifies this year with the ambition of working in the NHS focusing on Anaesthesia and surgical practice. He also has a post 16 Teaching qualification and a previous career in Digital Art Direction for Computer Game Production.

Jim is originally from Liverpool (Kirkby) and comes from a Forces family and is strong Internationalist and is a British and Australian Citizen. He has represented Newbold and Brownsover Ward on Rugby Borough Council since 2018 and is seeking to address larger issues at Warwickshire County Council.

Jim also would like to:

🌹Call for the full road and facility ‘adoption’ on estates in Coton and Brownsover to reduce confusion and increase efficiency regarding maintenance.
🌹Promote accessibility for people with Disability particularly around shops.

Elections this year will prove difficult to visit and knock on doors – so I apologise if I haven’t spoken directly to you. However – please do email me and I’m happy to talk anytime.
