Looks like Unite the union is cooking up a storm about GE‘s plans to move it’s Ministry of Defence manufacturing from #Rugby to France.

The Financial Times has reported on security breaches at the French factory following sight of a letter from Steve Turner, Unite’s Assistant General Secretary, saying that the plant in Nancy:

“worryingly has no security classification and has already been subject to action by French intelligence following the unmasking of a number of Chinese intelligence officers operating in the plant passing secret nuclear technologies”.

We’ve known about this for some time. So the question has to be, what is our Government thinking of?

They’ve allowed a situation to develop where our Naval supply lines are put in the hands of foreign-owned businesses, with shaky finances and dodgy security. It’s about time they got a grip.

Where is our MP in all this?

Has he caught up with the idea that real jobs are at risk in his constituency?

Cosy dispatch-box chats with the Secretary of State for Defence aren’t enough. We need to see action.

Debbie Bannigan is concerned about the GE job loses and the lack of representation that Mark Pawsey MP is giving those who are losing their jobs.
