Sarah Feeney at Rugby Rail Station in Benn Division

Sarah Feeney, County Candidate for Benn Division, is an experienced campaigner for better conditions in urban wards.  “Benn is a vibrant and multi-cultural Division, with a lot going for it. I’m taking on the initiatives that Maggie O’Rourke worked on, and developing them so that Benn’s air is cleaner, its roads are safer and people don’t feel threatened by dark streets with no lighting.  We must have those street lights switched back on!

Our Railway Station is overwhelmed – it’s not fit for purpose any more.  Up to capacity, a poor bus service to town, nowhere to park, queues and fumes as cars try to get in and out; it’s not good.  We need Rugby Parkway up and running as soon as possible to take the pressure off Benn.”

Sarah doesn’t gloss over the challenges that Benn faces.  “It needs better housing solutions, a cleaner and safer environment with more police actually visible on the streets and more support for the community.  Benn residents are fierce when they get together – look what the Concerned Residents Against Parking Permits did!  We can achieve good things together for the area.”
