Chris is standing as a candidate in Wolvey and Shilton. He is a Labour Party member and staff member who works in communications.

He lives in Rugby and has been a resident of almost 10 years.

Chris is acutely aware that local people are quietly in crisis. His priority is tackling the cost of living crisis and wants to see a windfall tax on the North Sea oil and gas companies to help bring down soaring energy bills by up to £600 for the households that need it most.

Chris supports Labours:

– Windfall tax on oil and gas producers to cut home energy bills by up to £600.

– A business rate discount of up to £5,700 to help struggling firms funded by a tax on online giants.

– Scrapping the National Insurance hike.

– A rapid ramp up of home insulation upgrades saving households £400 on bills.

Locally, Chris is interested in town centre regeneration and using the council’s resources to help those struggling with the cost of living especially those in more rural locations and villages across areas like Wolvey and Shilton villages.

We are asking Wolvey and Shilton residents to consider altering their vote for a Labour candidate this year to send a strong message to. National government, that enough is enough.
