One of Rugby Labour’s sterling activists and members rose to the challenge set by the Rugby Advertiser recently as the announcement of the last ambulance being lost in Rugby came to the fore.
Labour Member: Alison Livesey created a petition standing at nearly 5,500 signatures in a matter of days which received media attention and indeed Mark Pawsey MP was motivated to raise it in the commons.
Alison said, “Since moving to Rugby I have seen health services in the town relentlessly cut: first the A&E, then the ambulance station, next to the emergency response cars, and now the last ambulance. We are a growing town and the plans to remove the last ambulance do not make sense to me.”
