Some information about Rugby CLP’s three Branches:

1. North Branch

If you live in Benn, Newbold and Brownsover, Coton and Boughton, Clifton, Newton, and surrounding areas, this is your Branch.  Your Chair is Alison Livesey, and your Secretary is Richard Harrington.  Labour Rugby Borough Councillors for the North are Maggie O’Rourke, Tom Mahoney, Jim Shera, Ramesh Shivastrava, Kieren Brown and Jim Ellis.  There are currently 3 Conservative councillors in the North, all in Coton and Boughton.  

North Branch meetings normally happen on the last Thursday of every month. 

At the moment, they are held via Zoom and begin at 7.30.  Richard and Alison send invitations to all members and councillors via Labour Organise

1. West and Rural Branch

This is the largest branch geographically and covers New Bilton, Bilton, Overslade, Rokeby, Admirals and Cawston, Revel and Binley Woods, the Lawfords and  Dunsmore.  Labour councillors are Ish Mistry, Mike Brader and Barbara Brown, all from New Bilton Ward. Rokeby and Overslade have three Lib Dem councillors.  All of the other councillors are Conservative.  

Your chair is John Goodman, and the secretary post is vacant.   West and Rural meet via Zoom at the moment: 1st Tuesday of the month.

1. East Branch

Covering Hillmorton, Houlton, Paddox and Eastlands, East Branch has no Labour councillors. Hillmorton and Houlton are Tory, and the others are Lib Dem.

Fiona Moors is Chair of East Branch and there is a vacancy for Chair.  Branch meetings usually take place on the last Wednesday of every month, via Zoom.   The next meeting is at 7.30 on Wednesday 24th February.  Look out for an email invitation from Labour Organise
